  • The Animals Observatory is one of those brands that stops people in their tracks. Founded in Barcelona by Laia Aguilar — the creative mind behind some of Bobo Choses' most iconic seasons — it carries the same spirit of playful, considered design but with its own distinct personality. Bold colour clashes, unexpected prints, oversized silhouettes that feel relaxed rather than sloppy. Clothes that look like they were made by someone who genuinely loves what childhood looks like.

We've stocked The Animals Observatory at Buckets and Spades because it sits in a category of its own — not quite streetwear, not quite art project, somewhere in between. It's the piece in an outfit that does all the talking. Available for boys and girls from size 4.

    The Animals Observatory - FAQ

Do you have a physical store?

We do! We have a store in Brighton VIC, so if you find yourself in the area, pop in and visit us. In person, you can browse our extensive range of kids designer clothes from brands like Wilson & Frenchy, Marlo Kids, Huxbaby, Bobo Choses, Purebaby, and of course The Animal Observatory!

Or, if you are looking to buy baby clothes online rather, we have an extensive range of clothes like cute girls’ dresses, warm and snuggle boys' & girls winter pyjamas, stylish boys clothes and so much more!

How do I know what size clothing to get for my child?

Shopping for clothes for your child can often feel like a guessing game - what size should you get them and will they still fit in a few months? One way to alleviate some of the stress is to measure your child using a flexible tape measure. Begin by measuring their chest, hips, and waist. Take note of the largest measurement for each area and use it as a guide for sizing. Once you have these measurements, you can use our size guide to find the correct size clothing for your child!

With regards to our line of The Animals Observatory clothing, the looser-fitting shapes give a more comfortable and relaxed fit that allows you to be a little less precise with sizing and also provides room for your child to grow!
