Tropical Island SS19 is a collection of sea monsters, cat mermaids and fashionable bananas living the tropical dream. Founder and Creative Director, Cassandra Rhodin, found her inspiration for this collection from watching Animal Planet, reflecting over how “Everything already existing on Earth is so magical and weird”. The designs capture a dreamy state of mind, an escape from reality replaced by lazy summer days daydreaming about a tropical fantasy. A declaration to the blurry lines between imagination and reality of a child’s mind.
